Save The Bus – It Worked for the DeLorean

With Volkswagen bay window van production ceasing after more than 60 years at the end of 2013 I came upon an idea. The 1980s Delorean was only in production for a few years and yet it has resurfaced as a new retro car in the U.S. It seems many parts and unassembled vehicles ended up in Ohio after the plant closed in Northern Ireland. In this MyRide.com video the quintessential Hollywood time machine has literally made it Back To The Future. My idea is this, someone with a lot of spare cash needs to buy all the stamping, tool and die equipment from Volkswagen Brazil, even to simply hang onto it until the time is right to re-manufacture VW buses for the enthusiast market.
